Obituary for Lewis G. Stroble

Lewis E. Stroble, Jr., of Mt. Carmel, Pa passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
Born in Ashland, PA April 25, 1939, the son of the late Lewis and Cora (Felker) Stroble. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1957. He was a US Navy Veteran serving on the USS Ticonderoga and US Coral Sea. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Kulpmont. He worked as a medical technologist at the Shamokin Hospital and was a member of Mt. Carmel American Legion Post
No. 91. He traveled to all 50 states, 7 foreign countries, and the Caribbean Islands and loved going to the casinos.
He is survived by his wife Barbara (Moyer) Stroble whom he married on May 4, 1963. Also surviving are 3 sisters-in-law: Mary Freed, Bonnie Duff, and Phyllis Scoz. Cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Brother Stewart Stroble of Shenandoah,PA survives.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Freed.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church, 9th & Spruce St., Kulpmont, PA with Pastor Julian Milewski officiating. Interment will be at the United Methodist Cemetery, Kulpmont, PA. Visitation will be on Saturday, Sept 2 from 12:00-1:00 PM at the church.
