William J. Williams, 87, of Beaverdale, Mt. Carmel passed away Thursday, December 14th, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Senior Living, Mt. Carmel, PA.
Born in Beaverdale December 25,1929 son of the late William and Sarah (Williams)
Williams. He attended Mt. Carmel Twp. Schools. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. A member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Mt. Carmel, PA. Cedar Lodge 378 F&AM. A Life Member of the Atlas American Legion and Anthracite Fire Company. Mt. Carmel Senior Citizens. Kulpmont Sportsman Club. He was also active in the Little League for 23 years.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Caroline Miller, Vivion Kelly, and Eleanore Moree.
Suriving are two daughters: Barbara Marinin of Middleburg, PA and Mary Louise Williams of Sunbury, PA. Son: Bruce husband of Carol Williams of Danville, PA. Three grandchildren: Katelyn and Kelsey Williams; Dana wife of Jason Genco. Great grandchild: Ana Marin Genco.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 18, 2017 from the Willard Rothermel Funeral Home, Mt. Carmel, PA, with Rev. Joan Brown officiating. Visitation from 9:30-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery Mt. Carmel, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
