Obituary for Anne Kane

Anne L. Kane, 82, of Ashland, Pa died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home. Born in Locustdale, PA, September 8, 1935, the daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret (Welsh) Tilmont. On June 16, 1956 she married David J. Kane in St. Joseph's Church in Locustdale. She retired from the North Schuylkill School District in 1998 after 20-plus years as a Teacher's Aide. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Ashland. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Ashland Elks.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband David in 1998.
She is survived by three sons: Michael (Sandy); Dennis (Carole); and David. Seven grandchildren: Amanda (Tom); Megan (Andrew); Allison; Jacqueline; Nicole; Jonathan (Candice); and Jill (Robert). Eight great-grandchildren: Jaedyn; Aidan; Braedyn; Elizabeth; Kaitlyn; Everett; Kellan; and Kinsley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, Feb 1, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Ashland. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fountain Springs, PA. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30-11:30 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers Anne has requested donations be made to the Mother's Memorial Fund, in care of Schuylkill Community Foundation, 816 Center St. Ashland, PA 17921 Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
