Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Major

Elizabeth Ann Major, 73, of Gordon passed away Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading, PA.
Born in Ashland, PA April 22, 1944 the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna (Egan) Rebuck. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1963. She worked as a seamstress at Ashland Shirt Co. for many years until retirement. She was a member of the Friday Night Card Club. She enjoyed doing ceramics, woodworking and painting.
She was preceded in death by her husband David in 2012. Also preceding her in death were three sisters and three brothers: Gertrude Wagner; Rose Mary Harner; Mary "Rita' Bernosky; Clarence "Buzz"; Jim "Abbadaba" and Thomas "Tucker" Rebuck. She is survived by two sons: David J. and Mary Major, Reinholds, PA; Michael M. and Donna Major, Frackville; and three daughters: Beth A., wife of Paul W. Dean, Gordon; Jessica M., wife of Sean N. Nestor, Gordon; and Angel M., wife of Robert F. Kempsey, Gordon. Fourteen grandchildren: Matthew, Amy and Harry Major; Samantha, Savanna, Sara, and Grace Major; Tyler, Tanner, and Paul Dean; Colin and Hannah Nestor, and Jack and Allison Kempsey.
Also surviving are two brothers: Robert Rebuck, Levittown; and Jack Rebuck, New Castle, DE. Two sisters in law: Ruth Ann and husband Bob Schaeffer, Pine Grove; and Jennet Deeter, Hegins , Peggy Rebuck, Ashland and Marylee Rebuck of Frackville. Life long friend Charlie Blewis, Gordon. Numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland, PA, at 12 Noon on Saturday, February 17th, with Rev. Paul Rothermel officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family. Visitation from 10 AM until time of mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Donations can be made to : Schuylkill County Autism Society, 9 Overlook Dr., Pottsville, PA 17901. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
