Alice (Pepper) Staudenmeier

Alice Staudenmeier, 96, of Ashland, PA passed away Monday, October 4th, 2010 at her residence. Born August 3,1914 she was the daughter of the late George and Katherine Pepper. She was a member of St. Mauritius Church, Ashland, PA . She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School, Ashland and Immaculata College with a degree in Education and later Temple University with a degree in Medical Technology. She worked at the Ashland, Shamokin and Shenandoah Hospitals and later served as a subistute teacher, teaching Remedial Reading in various schools in the local area. She was preceded in death by her husband: George Staudenmeier in 2000 . A son survives: Thomas Staudenmeier of Huntington Beach,CA. Preceding her in death were three sisters - one brother: Catherine McDonnell, Gertrude Steinhelber Elizabeth McGrath. A brother George Pepper . Nieces and Nephews survive A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, 1100 Walnut St. Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 7th, with Rev. John W. Bambrick officiating. Interment at St. Mauritius Cemetery, Ashland, PA. The family requests no flowers. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA is in charge of arrangements .
