Alvin V. Roadarmel

Alvin V. Roadarmel, 83, of Paxinos passed away Wednesday evening June 14th at Geisinger Medical Center-Danville.

Born in Paxinos on July 8, 1939, he was the son of the late E. Gertrude (Woodruff) and Paul Roadarmel Sr.

Alvin was a member of Rush Baptist Church in Danville. 

He graduated from Ralpho Township High School in 1958. 

Alvin was the husband of Celia M. (Warner) Roadarmel.  They were married in 1961.

He had a magnetic personality and was a people person.

Alvin was a truck driver for Allen Clark Incorporated in Irish Valley for many years.  In addition, he worked at AVA in Irish Valley as a security guard.  He occasionally helped with his family’s business Roadarmel’s Chicken & Ribs in Elysburg.

He proudly served in the US Army.

Alvin most loved spending time with his family.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.  He also enjoyed visiting the nursing home in Mount Carmel with Pastor Hugh Coulborn.  He assisted in the ministry at the nursing home.

He is preceded in death by; parents; brother Donald; brother Paul “Neil” Jr.

Alvin is survived by; wife Celia M. Roadarmel, Paxinos; daughter Kim Renee Pauling (Dean), Lewisburg; brother Frank Roadarmel (Susan), Mifflinburg; brother Larry Roadarmel (Debora), Paxinos; brother Dale Roadarmel (Gail), Paxinos; granddaughter Dena Cipriano, Avon OH; son Chase Pauling (Tiffany), Canton PA; great grandchildren Evangeline & Charlotte; many nieces and nephews.

Services and internment were held privately.
