Anna Mae Shaffer

Anna Mae Shaffer, 85, of Trevorton, passed away Thursday, February 9th at her residence. 

She was born on December 9, 1937 in Shamokin and was the daughter of the late Vera (Puccini) and Franklin Young Sr.

Anna attended Coal Township High School. Early on she was piece worker in the garment industry, later she was a homemaker.

Anna was of the Protestant faith and was a member of The Salvation Army of Shamokin.

She enjoyed doing puzzle books and spending time with her grandchildren.

Anna is preceded in death by; spouse Alfred Shaffer; son Alfred Kevin Shaffer; son Ronald Lee Shaffer; brother Charles Young; brother John Young.

She is survived by; son Curtis L. Shaffer (Barbara Miller), Trevorton; brother Frank Young Jr., Coal Twp; brother George Young, Coal Twp; sister Dolores Stank, Shamokin; Laura Manley, Coal Twp; sister Linda James, Shamokin; daughter in law Elizabeth Shaffer, Ocean City NJ; 4 grandchildren Alfred, Kristina, Kearston & Joseph; 3 great grandchildren Piper, Stevie Ray & Derek; many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Services and interment will be private.
