Barry Berger

 

Barry L. Berger Sr, 42, formerly of Brandonville passed away Wednesday at his residence in Schuylkill Haven.

 

Born in Hazleton he was the son of the late Judy (Ulshafer) Blew and Dennis L. Berger Sr.

 

Barry graduated from Hazleton Area High School, Class of ‘99.

 

He was of the Christian faith.

 

Barry last worked as welder for Valmont Industries in Hazleton.

 

He was the Asst. Chief of the former Citizens Fire Company-Brandonville. He was also a member of Park Crest Fish & Game-Brandonville, Second Mountain Rod & Gun Club-Schuylkill Haven, American Legion Post 38-Schuylkill Haven SAL, and the NRA.

 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by; brother Dave Moran, stepfather Paul Blew; aunt Nancy Pleva.

 

Barry is survived by; brother Robert "Bobby" Berger (Kristina Freeman), Pine Grove; brother Michael "Mickey" Moran, Brandonville; brother Dennis Berger Jr., Mahanoy City; 2 sons Barry Jr. and Ayvin, Ashland; uncle Russ Ulshafer, Summit Hill; several nieces and nephews.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 22nd from 2-4 PM at American Legion Post 38, 229 Parkway, Schuylkill Haven PA 17972. Interment at Odd Fellows Cemetery-Shenandoah will follow at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help defray costs.
