Bettyann “Cookie” Silk, 85, of Elysburg passed away Sunday evening at Geisinger-Danville.
She was born on January 11, 1938 in Newark, NJ and was the daughter of the late Cecelia and Willard Barnes Sr.
She was the loving wife of the late Thomas J. Silk.
Bettyann was of the Catholic faith.
Cookie last worked for Maria Joseph Manor in housekeeping.
She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and flowers.
In addition to her husband, Bettyann is preceded in death by her brother Willard Barnes Jr. and daughter in law Melissa Silk.
She is survived by; daughter Susan Koenigsberg (John), Elysburg; daughter Sharon Lovenberg (Scott), Rockaway NJ; son Steven Silk (Laurie), La Plata MD; son Thomas “Tommy” P. Silk, Rockaway NJ; sister Cecelia “Ceil” Heckman, FL; “Aunt Mary Dywinski, Elysburg; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 3 neices.
Services and interment will be held privately.
