Brian T. Hepler, 49, of Ashland went to heaven Thursday evening December 28th at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of Thomas and Jean Hepler of Cresswell Gardens. As a child, Brian was an avid sportsman, enjoying snow skiing, water skiing, swimming, baseball, basketball, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed music, played guitar and keyboard and loved Elvis’s music.
All of this abruptly ended in 1990 when he had a major car accident which left him totally handicapped requiring total 24-hour care by his parents. Despite everything he always greeted everyone with a smile, a fist bump, or a hug.
Brian was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo in Ashland.
He loved going to the casino playing slots with assistance.
In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by an aunt and uncle Dianne and James Mensch, several cousins and a part-time caregiver Claudia Yutko.
Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents, an uncle James Hepler and an aunt Shirley Fidler.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday January 6, 2024 from 9:30-11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1115 Walnut St, Ashland PA 17921. Services will begin at 11:00 AM in church with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
