Burton L. Kepner

Burton L. Kepner, 86, formerly of Ashland, of Hillcrest Drive, Elysburg,PA. , passed away Tuesday, August 11th, 2009 at his residence. Born in Ashland, PA November 30,1922 he was the son of the late Ruth (Yarworth) Kepner. He was of the Evangelical Faith. Graduated from Ashland High School and worked as a Branch Manager for Citizens National Bank, Ashland and Lavelle for 38 years until retirement . He was a member and officer of the Ashland Area Senior Citizens; was President of Ashland Little League 1962-63 and coached Biddy Basketball in the 1960's . He was preceded in death by his wife: Dora (Fetterhoff) Kepner in 1990 and a longtime companion Eleanor Hummel in 2001. Preceding him in death were a brother Ralph and sister Ruth . Two sons survive: Ralph husband of Karen Kepner of Elysburg,PA., David husband of Pat Kepner of Levittown,PA. Five grandchildren survive: Michael Niki Kepner; Rachel Bullene; Lance Kepner and Kim Good . Great grandchildren : Bobby, T.J.; Preston; Mason and Val survive. Nieces and Nephews survive . Funeral Services will be held at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA, 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14th, with Pastor Clyde F. Neidhammer officiating. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery Ft. Springs, PA. at the convenience of the family. Viewing Thursday evening 6:00-9:00 P.M. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home and Friday 10:00-11:00 A.M. from the funeral home .
