Calvin T. Nolter

Calvin T. Nolter, 89, of Mount Carmel, passed away Sunday May 19th at Geisinger Medical Center-Danville. 

Born in Kulpmont on September 3, 1934 he was the son of the late Ethel (Bowes) and George Nolter.

He was the husband of the late Vera (Nestico) Nolter. 

Calvin was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mount Carmel.  He was also a member of F&AM Cedar Lodge 378.

He last worked in shipping for the National Ticket Company in Paxinos prior to his retirement.

Calvin enjoyed hunting, fishing and working out at the gym and connecting with his friends at the “Coney.” He will be deeply missed by his friends at the gym and Cal’s Coffee Clan at the “Coney” on Oak.  

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by; stepfather Jesse Pardo; brothers Donald, George, & Kenny; sisters Jean, Ethel & Grace.

Calvin is survived by; sister Dolores Strauss, NJ; sister Elaine Scicchitano, Las Vegas NV; son Brian Nolter (Sharon), Frackville; daughter Barbra Shannon (Mike), Kulpmont; daughter Marie Johnson, Mt. Carmel; daughter Elaine Evanicki (Bill), Drums; daughter Amanda Nolter, HI seven grandchildren Max Nolter, Shawn Lazar, Louis Lazar, Jennifer Shannon, Bobby Johnson, Joshua Ruchko and Yelena Hontz; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service and interment will be held on Saturday July 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Carmel Cemetery Chapel, 2320 Locust Gap Highway, Mount Carmel PA 17851.
