Claude W. Allvord

Claude W. Allvord, 74, a guest at Broad Mt. Manor Nursing Center, passed away at Thursday, January 28th, 2010 at Schuylkill Medical Center S. Jackson St., Pottsville, PA. Born in Gordon, PA August 17, 1935 he was the son of the late Claude and Fay (Seitzinger) Allvord. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force , member of the American Legion and worked for the Liquor Control Board as a carpenter for over 20 years until his retirement . He was preceded in death by a brother Gene Allvord in 2009. Surviving are a sister in law Jeanette Allvord, Gordon . Two nephews -one niece : Gene Stephen Allvord, Girardville, PA; Michael husband of Tammy Allvord, Beurys Grove Ashland; Sherry wife of Gerald Ney, Gordon,PA Great nieces and nephews : Chelsi, Michael, Amy, and Matthew . Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Christ Church Cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA .
