Donald R. Clamser Sr.

Donald “Don” Clamser, 79, of Gordon formerly Tunkhannock passed away Sunday evening July 21, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East.

Born on January 12, 1945 in Queens NY he was the son of the late Ann (Demore) and Frank Clamser Sr.

Don was the husband of Frances A. (Polizzotto) Clamser they have been married since 1964.

After graduating from high school Don graduated from New York School of Printing in 1964.  He last worked as a vending machine mechanic for Canteen in Frackville before retiring.

He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ashland.  He was an active member serving as a lay reader in church. Don was also a member of Kiwanis Club and ARC in Tunkhannock.   Don also enjoyed repairing electronics in his younger years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter Maryann (Clamser) Orr in 1995.

Don is survived by; spouse Frances A. Clamser, Gordon; 2 sons Donald R. Clamser Jr & Richard M. Clamser of Gordon; son in law Troy Orr, Harrisburg; 2 grandchildren Benjamin & Nathan Orr; sister Patricia “Pat” Simmons, NC; sister Kathy Sylvester, Tunkhannock; brother Frank Clamser Jr, CA; brother Kevin Clamser, NC; many nieces and nephews.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday July 27th from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church, N 13th & Market St, Ashland PA 17921.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM at the church.  Interment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery-Tunkhannock at a later date.
