Donald “Don” Hooper, 67, of Shamokin (Zerbe Township) passed away Thursday morning September 12, 2024 in Butler Township, Luzerne County from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Born on February 16, 1957 in Coatesville he was the son of the late Yvonne B. (Myers) and Lewis D. Hooper Sr.

Don attended Twin Valley High School.  He was also raised Baptist.

Don was the husband of Pamela (Manhart) Hooper, they have been married since 2019.  

He was currently employed as a truck driver for King’s Sawmill in Spring Glen PA.

Don enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle in his free time.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother Lewis D. Hooper Jr and step son William J. Manhart.

Don is survived by; wife Pamela Hooper, Shamokin; son Joshua D. Hooper (Janelle), Pottsville; 2 twin grandsons Jaxson D. and Colton R. Hooper; brother Michael Hooper, Pine Grove; sister Debra E. Ebersole, Ashland; sister Terry Perches (Mike), Coatesville; sister Patricia A. Blank, Downingtown; mother-in-law Sandra Long, Lavelle; father-in-law John Manhart (Trudy Hummel), Mowry.

Services will be held privately at Don’s request.
