Dorothy M. Horan

Dorothy M. Horan, 83, of 417 West Oak St. Shenandoah. passed away Friday, November 13th, 2009 at Schuylkill Medical Center S. Jackson St., Pottsville, PA. Born in Shenandoah February 18,1926 she was the daughter of the late John and Grace (Sherman) Kase. She was a member of St. Michael's Church , Shenandoah, worked at the General Cigar Factory, Mahanoy City and later Yankee Plastics , Ringtown until retirement . She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Horan in 1983 . A son John Horan preceded her in death and a grandson Michael in 2005 . Two Sons- one daughter survive Robert Horan of Ashland, PA. Christine Alcaraz of Mt. Carbon, PA. and Joseph Horan of Aristes, PA. Daughter-in-law Louise Horan , Ashland survives . One sister survives: Alice Horan of Shenandoah, PA. Two brothers two sisters preceded her in death; Eva Bova, Annie Miller, Luke George Kase. Five grandchildren survive: Denise, Sherry Ann, Joseph Jr., Marlin, Robert Jr.. Eleven great grand children survive, nieces nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, Shenandoah, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 17th, 2009. Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Shenandoah, PA Visitation Tuesday 9:00-10:30 AM from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland .
