Edward 'Uckie' Weikel

Edward Uckie Weikel, 78, of Ashland,PA. passed away Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 Columbia County at his residence . Born in Helfenstein, PA April 17, 1931 he was the son of the late Samuel and Cyrilla Weikel . He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War . He worked as a painter and sandblaster for many years until retirement . He was a member of the V.F.W. Post of Ashland . Two sons survive Kenneth and Edward Weikel both of Ashland, PA. Surviving are two brothers- two sisters : Samuel Weikel, Reading, PA ; John Weikel,Berlin , N.J. ; Dezna Heffner, Locust Dale, PA ; Jen LaMonnica, Slatington,PA . One granddaughter survives : Justine Weikel of Virginia . Nieces and nephews survive. Religious Service at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 9th, with Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. Interment at Brock Cemetery, Ashland, PA. Visitation Friday 10:00-11:00 AM. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home.
