Frank J. Gustus Sr. 78 of Paxinos passed away Sunday afternoon July 13, 2025 at his residence.

Born on December 24, 1946 in Shamokin he was the son of the late Mary (Narcavage) and John Gustus.

Frank was of the Catholic faith.

He graduated from Mount Carmel Catholic High School in 1964 and from Penn State University with a degree in Psychology.

Frank was a social worker early on in his career for Catholic Social Services.  Later, he was in charge of maintenance for Carmelite Monastery of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in Elysburg for many years.

Frank enjoyed hunting, racing dune buggies at Line Mountain, and doing DIY projects.  His biggest joy spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Gustus in 2001.

Surviving are his son Frank J. Gustus Jr. (Erica), Reading; brother Alan Gustus (Judy), Harrisburg; 2 grandchildren Eli & Heather; 3 nephews Michael, Matt, David; 1 niece Dawn.

Services will be private at Frank’s request.
