Gayle C. Miller

Gayle C. Miller, 87, of Irish Valley (Shamokin) passed away Saturday morning June 10th at Nottingham Village-Heather Court.

Born on December 27, 1935 in Shamokin she was the daughter of the late Sarah (Hertzog) and Reginald Bixler.

She attended and graduated from Coal Township High School in 1954.

Gayle was a member of Clark’s Grove United Methodist Church.  

She was the wife of the late Harry “Buzz” K. Miller who passed September 11, 2022.

Gayle enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting and the outdoors.

She last worked for Knoebel’s as a cashier at the International Food Court.

In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her siblings; Reginald, Melvin, Gorden, Franklin, Hilda, Winifred, and Rosalind.

She is survived by; daughter Saranae Kurtz (Randy), Swenksville; son Brad Miller, Irish Valley; daughter Lorri Hein (Barry), Midway GA; daughter Stacy Zack (Craig), Dillsburg; son Kurt Miller (Lora), Lancaster; sister Dorothy Weaver, Coal Township; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, June 15th from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM at the funeral home. A service will follow at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place following services at Clark’s Grove Summit Hill Cemetery.
