Hannah M. Knittle

Hannah M. Knittle, 77, of Bloomsburg formerly Elysburg (Bear Gap) passed away Thursday evening February 1, 2024 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Bloomsburg on July 7, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Hannah M. (Parker) and Michael J. Visnosky.

Hannah graduated from Southern Columbia High School in 1965. She then graduated from Wilkes-Barre Business College in 1966.

She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Saint Columba Catholic Church in Bloomsburg.

Hannah worked for Bloomsburg Hospital, Bloomsburg Mills, St Columbus School and then Arrow Shirt prior to retiring.  She was also formerly a member of Numidia Grange and Susquehanna Valley C.B. Club.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping on QVC and her cats.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Michael Visnosky and fiancé Robert Campbell.

Surviving are a daughter Debra Knittle, Elysburg; granddaughter Nicole Albertson, Arlington VA; grandson Wyatt Albertson, Lancaster PA; brother Robert Visnosky (Nancy), Elysburg; several nieces & nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Elysburg funeral home with Fr. Richard Mowery officiating.  A viewing for family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday morning prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial will follow services at Pine Hill Cemetery, Elysburg.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Hannah’s memory to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
