Helen L. Blakley

Helen L. Blakley, 92, formerly of Shamokin passed away Tuesday afternoon at Our Family Home & Hospice in Aristes.

Born on February 28, 1931 in Painted Post, NY she was the daughter of the late Carrie Mae and Charlie Gay.

Helen was the wife of the late John D. Blakley who passed in 1990.

She was a member of the Mountainside Assembly of God Church.

Helen worked as a janitor and in telemarketing prior to her retirement.

In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by; son Martin A. Blakley; daughter Carolyn Marie Blakley-Edkins; son in law Ronald Edkins; siblings Franklin, Alvin, Gladys, Emily, Clifford, and Ruth.

She is survived by; 3 granddaughters Beverly White, Susan Gil, and Jeunnette Santana all of Texas; daughter in law Teresa R. “Blakley” Fisher (Charles) of Shamokin; sister in law Vi; nieces & nephews.

Services will be held privately.  Internment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress CA at a later date.
