Helen Mary (Tilmont) McGurl

Helen Mary McGurl, 94,formerly of Ashland,PA. passed away Thursday, January 7th, 2010 at Flower Memorial Hospital, Toledo, Ohio. Born in Locustdale, PA December 8, 1915 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Schnee) Tilmont. She was formerly a member of St. Joseph's Church in Ashland spending 85 years in Ashland until moving to Toledo, Ohio in 2001 to be near family. She then resided at Oakleaf Village in the Toledo area . Helen was preceded in death by her husband Francis McGurl in 1978. She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters . Surviving are two daughters : Eileen husband f John Kennedy, Toledo, OH and Mary Ellen Gussio of South Carolina. Eighteen grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive . Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Jan.16th in Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, Toledo, OH. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 19,2010 at 11:30 AM in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA . Rev. John Bambrick officiating.
