Helen T. Mudry
Helen T. Mudry, 91, of Paxinos, PA, passed away Thursday January 16, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center-Danville.
She was born June 20, 1933, in Kulpmont, a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Cicheskie.
Helen was a graduate of Kulpmont High School, Class of 1951. She was the Drum Majorette for the Kulpmont High School Band.
During her lifetime, she was employed by Rea & Derick, the Cadmach Mill as an office worker, and for more than 25 years, as a bookkeeper for Mudry Trucking in Kulpmont. In addition, Helen was a Notary for the Pennsylvania Notary Commission.
She was the wife of the late John Mudry, they were married in St. Peter and Paul’s church, Mt. Carmel.
Helen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Shamokin Lodge #255 masonic lodge formerly located in Shamokin. She enjoyed being a part of numerous charities, volunteer blood drives, and dedicated her time making pierogies for her church. Throughout her life, Helen was very charitable within the local community, providing Christmas’ to families less fortunate, and helping anyone in need. Helen was a devout catholic and member of the Patronage of the Mother of God Ukrainian Church, Marion Heights. Throughout her life, Helen was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Her spare time was devoted to helping with her grandchildren, as well as a caregiver to her husband Jeff.
Helen is survived by son, John Mudry; son, James Mudry and wife, Juanita; daughter Deborah Kozock; and daughter Maria Lucas and husband, Michael; eight grandchildren, Amy Varano, Jeffrey Mudry, Jennifer Gunther, Justin Bamford, Michael Mudry, Raji Kozock, Stefanie Mudry, Sarah Lucas, and Gary Mudry; eight great-grandchildren Aydan Kozock, Nathaniel Bolanos, Lukas Gunther, Molly Mudry, Noah Varano, Maverick Mudry, Vanessa Bamford, and Axel Mudry; brother, Alex Cicheskie; and sister Virginia Korbich and husband William; sister-in-law Joanne Mudry, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services at All Saints Cemetery in Elysburg will be Saturday August 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
