Helen M. (Beck) Sweeney

Helen M. Sweeney, 87, passed away Sunday, November 29th, 2009 at St. Catherine Medical Center, Ft. Springs,, PA. Born in Ashland, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert and Jennie (Patterson) Beck. She was a member of Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ, Ashland .. Worked at the Ashland Shirt Corp., Ashland until her retirement . She was preceded in death by her husband John J. Sweeney in 1979. A son William Sweeney preceded her in death in 2008 . Four brothers also preceded her in death : Charles, Marvin, Joseph, Harry Beck. Surviving are two sisters-one brother:Suzan wife of Jack Weber of Ashland,PA., Mary wife of William Maurer of Alabama. and Robert husband of Betty Beck of Hatboro,PA. A sister in law : Ann Beck, Ashland survives . Cousins, nieces nephews survive . Memorial Service will be held at Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ, Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 3rd, . Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery , Ft. Springs,, PA.
