Jeanette L. Yeager

Jeanette Yeager, 84, of Ashland. passed away Friday, July 23rd, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Born in Lavelle, PA Nov. 9, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Stine) Teitsworth. She was a member of Christ Congregational Church, Ft. Springs, PA and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ashland Chapter. She graduated from Ashland High School. She worked at Ashland State general Hospital, Ft. Springs,PA as a seamstress until retirement. She was preceded in death by her first husband Loren Smith in 1981 and and her second husband Wayne Yeager in 1991. A son preceded her in death Daniel Smith, 1970 and a grandson Jeff Smith 2005. A son Loren Smith, Lititz ,PA. Four step children survive : Regina Wagner, Landisville,PA; Grace A. Groody, Ashland,PA; Wayne Yeager, Schuylkill Haven, PA and George Yeager, Northampton,PA . Two sisters survive: Myrl (Sue) Herring and Carol Spencer both of Newmanstown,PA . Fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren survive. Nieces and nephews . Funeral Services will be held from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 27th, with Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. Interment at Sunnyside Cemetery Lavelle, PA. Viewing Tuesday 9:30-11:00 AM. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ashland Chapter of the Eastern Star or the American Cancer Society, 33 W. Ridge St., Lansford, PA 18232.
