Joan E. Adams, 85, of Mount Carmel formerly of Cambridge, MD passed away Sunday at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born October 25, 1938 in Cambridge MD she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Clinton Simmons.

She was the wife of the late Anthony Adams II.

Joan was a member of Zion’s Reformed UCC-Ashland.

Joan graduated from Cambridge High School in Maryland. She last worked for MT Adams & Sons Inc. a can labeling service that her family owned and operated in Maryland.

Joan enjoyed seafood, storytelling, car shows and attending auctions.  

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by; sister Nancy; sister Mary Lou; brother Clinton.

Joan is survived by; son Anthony Adams III (Jennifer Wehry), Locustdale; son Michael Adams, MD; son Tony Adams, MD; son Timothy Adams, MD; daughter Nancy Adams, MD; brother Howard Simmons, MD; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Services and internment will be at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery-Hurlock MD at a later date.
