Joan R. 'Noakie' Hoffman

Joan RNoakie Hoffman, 81, of 10th Walnut St. Ashland. passed away Friday, January 29th, 2010 at St. Catherine Medical Center, Ft. Springs, PA. Born in Ashland May 30, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Willford and Catherine (Walsh) Hoffman. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Ashland and attended Ashland Schools. Joan worked for many years at Acme Markets in Ashland until her retirement . She was preceded in death by her sister Kay Schenk in 1988. Surviving are nieces : Debbie Scicchitano, Shamokin, PA ; Kim Redicavage, Ashland, PA ; and Nicole Schenk, Ashland, PA . Great nieces and nephews survive . Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Ashland, PA, on Monday, February 1st,2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. John W. Bambrick officiating. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery ,Ft. Springs, PA. Visitation Monday 9:00-11:00 AM. at St. Joseph's Church, 1100 Walnut St. , Ashland.
