Joan “Joanie” Santulli, 86, formerly of Jersey Shore, PA passed away Thursday evening October 17th at Emmanuel Center-Danville surrounded by family.

Born September 10, 1938 in Manhattan NY she was the daughter of the late Mary (Higgins) and Richard Mooney.

She was the wife of the late Richard T. Santulli who passed in 2020.

Joanie was of the Catholic faith.

She graduated from Hunter College in New York City with a degree in education. She was 1st grade teacher for many years at P.S. 111 Adolf S. Ochs and St. John’s in NYC, then St. Boniface in Williamsport prior to retiring.

Joanie enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling to Jersey Shore Haven, Avalon NJ in her Airstream with her late husband.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her 3 sisters Eileen, Maureen and Geraldine.

Joanie is survived by; son Thomas Santulli (Laurie) East Aurora NY; son Christopher Santulli (Anne-Frances) NYC; son Michael Santulli (Sunanda) Longmont CO; daughter Regina “Gina” Becker (Doug) Elysburg; 6 grandchildren Andrew (Cindy), Eric, Lena (Sean), Gabriel, Matina & Nishaan; many nieces, nephews & cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday morning October 24th from 10-11:00 AM at Queen of Most Holy Rosary, 599 W. Center St, Elysburg PA 17824.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at a later date.
