John A. Swetra Jr.

John A. Swetra Jr., 55, of Mount Carmel passed away Sunday morning May 25th at his home.

Born on August 18, 1969 in Ashland he was the son of Marian L. (Howells) Swetra and the late John A. Swetra Sr.

John was of the Catholic faith.

He graduated from Mount Carmel Area High School in 1987 and from Mansfield University.

John enjoyed fishing, fly fishing and camping.  The fall was his favorite time of the year, he especially enjoyed Halloween.

He is survived by; mother Marian L. Swetra, Mt Carmel; brother Chris Swetra (Lauren), Philadelphia; daughter Alyssa Swetra, Mt Pleasant Mills; daughter Mackenzie Swetra, Mt Carmel; daughter Brooklyn Swetra, Mt Carmel; several aunts & uncles.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday June 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon at the Elysburg funeral home.
