John J. Todd Sr., 76, of Elysburg passed away Monday morning December 2, 2024 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Pottsville he was the son of the late Sevilla (Deysher) and Alexander Todd.

John was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Queen of Most Holy Rosary in Elysburg.

He was the husband of Donna E. (Handerhan) Todd.

John graduated from Nativity BVM High School in 1965.  He also graduated from Susquehanna University in 1998 with a degree in Business Administration.

John worked for PPL for over 44 years.  He started out as a lineman and retired as a foreman. John worked at the Marian Heights then Sunbury service centers.   He also was an instructor for PPL at Northampton Community College before retiring in 2018.   John was instrumental in developing the lineman program.

He was a member of the Elks in Mount Carmel. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; 2 brothers Edward & Thomas; sister Rosemary; son in law Ron Kemberling.

John is survived by; wife Donna E. Todd, Elysburg; son John J. Todd Jr. (Marisa), Springfield; daughter Kimberly Kemberling, Sunbury; 4 grandchildren Zachary Kemberling, Chandler (Korbin) Ross, Chase Todd & Kaitlyn Todd; 1 great grandson Jameson Ross; many nieces & nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday December 9th at 11:00 AM at Queen of Most Holy Rosary Church, 599 W Center St, Elysburg PA 17824.  A visitation for family and friends will be Monday December 9th from 10-11:00 AM at church. Interment will follow mass at All Saints Cemetery in Elysburg.
