Joseph E. Durovick Jr.

Joseph Edward Durovick Jr., 53 of Mount Carmel passed away on Monday, June 19th at the Mount Carmel Nursing Rehab Center following a long and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born in Ashland on November 23, 1969 he was the son of Joseph E. Durovick Sr. and the late Joyce A. (Hendricks) Durovick.

Joe was known as a fun-loving, kind, generous man and an amazing father.

He graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1987 and Pennsylvania College of Technology in 1989.

Joe enjoyed working in his garage, listening to rock music, target shooting and spending time with his family and friends. His everyday acts of kindness touched so many lives, ensuring his love and impact will live on long after his passing. 

Joe is survived by; father Joseph E. Durovick Sr.; son Dustin Durovick; daughter Courtney Durovick; former spouse and friend Shannon Deitrich; grand cats Luci & Claudius.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, June 23rd from 9:30-11:00 AM at the Elysburg funeral home. A memorial service with Rev. Joan Brown officiating will take place at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
