Josephine M. 'Josie' (Klementovich) Kahn

Josephine M. Kahn, 77 of Gordon,PA . passed away Saturday, December 12th, 2009 at her residence. Born in Mowry,PA December 4, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Anna Klementovich. She was a graduate of Ashland High School Class of 1951, later moving to D.C where she worked as a Clerk Typist for the Naturalization and Immigration Department . Once married , Josephine went on to work in several garment companies as a seamstress, also doing home sewing on the side. She retired completely in 1994. She was an active member in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Citizens Fire Company, Gordon holding several offices. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Boots Kahn in 2006 to whom she was married to for 55 years . Preceding her in death were six brothers and one sister: Edward, Joseph, Leo, Nelson, Stanley, Fred and a sister Anna . Two daughters survive: Pamela wife of Lewis Balsavage of Gordon, PA and Benita (Bonnie) wife of William Love of Wernersville,PA. Three granddaughters: Amanda wife of Mark Barnett, Courtney Balsavage Rachael Balsavage. Two great granddaughter's. Emily Rose Welna and Maya Jo Barnett and her faithful bodyguard : Jazmyn . Graveside Services will be held in Brock Cemetery, Ashland, PA Wednesday, Dec. 16,2009 at 10:00 AM . Rev. Robert Hoenich officiating.
