June D. Mellen, 81, of 38 Middle Street Locust Dale,PA went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010 at St. Catherine Medical Center, Ft. Springs, PA. Born in Ashland, PA February 26,1929 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Beatrice (Long) Mattis. She attended Conyngham High School and was a Member of Grace Independent Church in Locust Dale . She was a member of the Gordon Area Senior Citizens, Gordon, PA . Surviving are a daughter and son: Linda Mekosh of Locust Dale, PA. and son Arnie Harner of Lavelle, PA. A Sister survives: Evelyn Laughlin of Ft. Springs,PA. Five grandchildren survive: Arnie Harner Jr.,; Andrew Harner; Randy Harner; Ron White; Christopher Mekosh . Seven great grandchildren survive. Memorial Service will be held in Grace Independent Church, Locust Dale,PA, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 25th, with Rev. Rose Marquardt officiating. Interment at Brock Cemetery Ashland, PA immediately following service. Visitation Saturday 10:00-11:00 AM. at Grace Independent Church., Locust Dale .
