Lawrence S. Sabolchick

Lawrence S. Sabolchick, 65, of Trinity Mission Shenandoah, formerly of Ashland, PA passed away Saturday, June 6th, 2009 at St. Catherine Medical Center, Ft. Springs,, PA. Born in Hazleton, PA September 17,1943 he was the son of the late Stephen and Helen (Martin) Sabolchick . He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Ashland and served in the United States Marines and was stationed in Camp lajeune, NC.. He graduated from St. Gabriel's High School in Hazleton in 1961 . He worked as a police officer and carpenter until his stroke in 1975. He was a member of the Washington Fire Co., Ashland. Larry loved life , loved people and had a story to tell for everyone . Surviving are his wife Beverly (Bolich) Sabolchick , Ashland and one son , one daughter : Michelle wife of James Pettinato of Scranton,PA. James husband of Christina Sabolchick of Marion Heights, PA. Two grandchildren survive: Dante and Amanda Sabolchick . He was preceded in death by two brothers : Stephen husband of Marcella and John husband of Kathy . One aunt , cousins , nieces and nephews survive. Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland, PA, Thursday June 25,2009 with Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. Visitation 10:30 A.M. 'til the time of service . Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA.
