Linda L. Bendas, 72, of Coal Run passed away Saturday March 15th at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born on April 21, 1952 in Mahoning Township (Montour County) she was the daughter of the late Eva (Derk) and David Rupp.

Linda graduated from Shamokin High School in 1971.

She was of the Protest faith and was a member of Grace UCC-Mount Carmel.

For over 39 years Linda was the fiancé of Melvin L. Wetzel.

Linda enjoyed crafts, knitting, riding dirt bikes and her pets.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Costa and great grandson Aydenn Bendas.

Linda is survived by; significant other / fiancé Melvin Wetzel, Coal Run; daughter Jennifer Snavely (Jeremiah), Coal Township; son Robert Bendas, Coal Run; 6 grandchilren; 2 great grandchildren; cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 20, 2025 at 11:00 am at Rothermel-Heizenroth-Clark Funeral Home, 120 S. Market St, Mount Carmel PA 17851.  A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will follow services at the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
