Marilyn Crowl

Marilyn M. Crowl, 80, of Catawissa passed away Friday afternoon at her residence. 

She was born on October 5, 1942 in Mount Carmel and was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Williams) and Frank O’Gara.

Marilyn graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1960. 

She was the loving wife of Duane A. Crowl, they were married for 55 years.

Early in her career she worked for Kessler’s Jewelry in Mount Carmel.  Later she was the secretary for the Elysburg United Methodist Church. Most recently she sold her crafted creations on Etsy.

Marilyn was of the Protestant faith and was a member of Elysburg United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She enjoyed football, sewing and embroidery but what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her sister Shirley Wetzel. 

She is survived by; husband Duane A. Crowl, Catawissa; son Keith Crowl (Jennifer), Overlook; daughter Kelly Roadarmel (Cory), Paxinos; granddaughter Cassidy Roadarmel, Paxinos; many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday February 17, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Elysburg United Methodist Church, 171 W Center St, Elysburg PA 17824. A service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church with the Rev Michelle Beissel officiating. Interment will be private.
