Martha Ann Weikel

Martha Ann Weikel, 88, of Elysburg passed away Sunday evening March 29, 2026 at Emmanuel Center for Nursing in Danville.

Born December 15, 1937 in Coal Township she was the daughter of the late Martha Elizabeth (Herr) and Lewis Evans.

She was the wife of the late Glenn Weikel.

Martha was a member of the Elysburg United Methodist Church where she was a trustee, secretary and volunteer.

Martha graduated from Coal Township High School in 1955. She also attended beauty school.  She worked for Varano Insurance, Geisinger, Knoebels and sold Avon over the years.

She enjoyed doing puzzles, roller skating, going to the beach, swimming and spending time with her dogs Murphy and Gidget.  

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by; sister Claire Evans; sister Jean Bailey; sister-in-law Marge Evans.

Martha is survived by; Glenda Weikel, Selinsgrove; son Lewis Weikel, Elysburg; brother Robert Evans; brother Richard Evans (Nancy); nieces & nephews.

Services will be on Monday April 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Elysburg United Methodist Church, 171 W Center St, Elysburg PA 17824. A viewing for family and friends will be Monday morning prior to services from 9:30-11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Coal Township.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Martha’s memory to Ralpho Township Public Library, 206 S Market St, Elysburg PA 17824 or to a charity of your choice.
