Mary C. (Oswald) Moran

MARY C. MORAN, 85, of 727 Walnut St., Ashland, PA died Sunday, June 7,2009 at St. Catherine Medical Center , Ft. Springs, PA . Born in Girardville,PA August 15, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Hannon) Oswald. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Ashland and graduated from St. Joseph's High School, Girardville in 1941 in which she was valedictorian of her class . She lived in Florida most of her married life working as a manager of the Sports Dept. at Sears until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband John Moran in 1991 whom she was married to for 47 years . Preceding her in death were four brothers: Francis,Andrew, Raymond and Joseph Oswald . Surviving are a brother Harry husband of Dorothy Oswald , Seattle , Washington. Two sister in law survive : Genevieve (Moran) McGrew Marie Oswald . Nieces Nephews survive. Mass of the Christian burial will be held Thursday, June 11,2009 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Ashland, PA . Rev. John W. Bambrick officiating . Visitation Wednesday evening 7:00-9:00 PM from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home and Thursday 9:30-10:30 AM from the Funeral Home . Interment at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA . Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA is in charge of arrangements.
