Pastor Sienkiewicz Obituary

Pastor Alan R. Sienkiewicz, 60, of Auburn,PA. passed away Saturday, July 4th, 2009 at Lebanon VA Hospital, Lebanon, PA. Born in Gordon, PA August 13, 1948 he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Hartz) Sienkiewicz . He was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Vietnam War . He graduated from Ashland Area High School Class of 1966. He was Pastor of the Grace Baptist Church, Ashland ; started his preaching career in 1985 at the Church of God in Frackville. He was Chaplain at the Schuylkill County Prison for ten years and visited Broad Mt. Manor Nursing Center, Frackville every Sunday for 20 years. He drove truck for many years driving for Nicholas Trucking, Neff Trucking and lastly Fanelli Trucking . Surviving are his wife Florence (Seigfried) Sienkiewicz, Auburn, PA Two daughters : Lauren, Northumberland County and Lindsey, Pine Grove, PA Two stepsons survive: Joel Gipe, Orwigsburg, PA ; James Gipe, Orwigsburg, PA . A stepson Jeffery Gipe preceded him in death . One brother survives: Robert Hartz of Ashland, PA Four step grandchildren, nieces nephews survive. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, Beaver Dam Road,Ashland,PA, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 8th, with Pastor Farren Mathena officiating. Interment at Odd Fellows Cemetery ,Frackville, PA. Visitation Tuesday 6:00-9:00 PM. in Grace Baptist Church, Beaver Dam Road, Ashland. and also Wednesday 10:00-11:00 AM in the Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Grace Baptist Church, 895 Beaver Dam Road, Ashland, PA 17921.
