Phyllis (Burger) Martz

Phyllis Martz, 86, of 819 Center Street Ashland. passed away Monday, May 31st, 2010 at St. Catherine Medical Center, Ft. Springs, PA. Born in Gordon, PA March 7, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Clara (Trommetter) Burger. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland, PA. She was a member of the Ashland Area Senior Citizen Ashland Chapter #154 Order of Eastern Star . She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Martz on July 9th 1986. Preceding her in death were two sisters, three brothers: Charles, Harry Emerson; Merial and Adeline. Phyllis was the longest living member of her family . A son survives : Charles husband of Sandra Martz of Williamsport,PA. A nephews survives William Ernst of Ogden, Utah . Graveside Service will be held at Christ Church Cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 3rd, with Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, North 9th Street, Ashland, PA 17921.
