Ray Haas Obituary

Ray L. Haas, 95, formerly of Bear Gap, passed away Sunday evening at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville.

He was born on June 27, 1927 in West Cameron Twp and was the son of the late Bertha (Bohner) and Richard Haas.

Ray graduated from Trevorton High School, Class of 1945.

He was the husband of Margaret (Ragalyi) Haas since 1976.

He served in the Marine Corps and was a WWII veteran.  Ray then served as a Trooper, Detective, then Supervisor for the Pennsylvania State Police and
Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for 41 years.

He was of the Protestant faith, was a member of Grace UCC, Mt. Carmel.

He was a member of Blue Lodge # 320-Bedford, Altoona Hiram Masonic, Jaffa Temple-Altoona.

Ray grew up on his family farm and enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and anything with a motor.

In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by; brothers Bill and Roy; sisters Hilda, Erma, Mildred, Fern, Edith and Lena; stepson Rev. Randall Lutz.

In addition to his spouse he is survived by; sister Betty Dare, Harrisburg; daughter Peggy Howell (Harold), Lynchburg VA; stepson Terry Lutz, Riverside; several nieces & nephews. Services
will be private at the convenience of the family.
