Robert J. Freiler

Robert J. Freiler, 94, of 39 Nater St. Ashland. passed away Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, PA. Born in Ashland,PA October 8,1916 he was the son of the late William Margaret (Tilmont) Freiler. He was a member of St. Mauritius Church, Ashland . Graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1934 and was a United States Army World War I I Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. He worked for Bubser Insulation, Pottsville; from 1951-1978 as sexton for St. Mauritius Church in Ashland and from 1978-1995 for Citizens National Bank, Ashland in maintenance. Surviving are his wife Anna (Schu) Freiler, Pottsville One daughter-one son: Linda Lindenmuth of Frackville,PA. Robert Freiler of Shamokin,PA. One sister- one brother survives: Helen Birster of Levittown,PA; William Freiler of Chicago, Ill. Preceding him in death were a brother sister: Rose Meyers and Wilford . Two grandchildren survive , Nieces Nephews .Mass of the Christian burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 13th at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Ashland, PA. Rev. John Bambrick officiating. Interment in St. Mauritius Cemetery, Ashland,PA. Visitation Friday 6:00-8:00 P.M. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland and Saturday 8:30-9:30 AM from the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
