Roseann Bird

Roseann Bird, 73, of Ashland passed away Tuesday May 27th at Penn State St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading.

Born in Ashland on February 25, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Catherine and John Hoskie.

Roseann attended North Schuylkill High School.

She was the wife of the late Kennard “Barry” Bird.

Roseann was of the Protestant faith.

She previously worked for A&E Hanger-Ringtown, Pine Burr-Atlas and several other local factories.  Roseann was also a member of UIW (United Industrial Workers Union).   She enjoyed cooking, going to the casino and playing cards.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a brother Robert “Bobby” Hoskie and sister Linda Ennis.

Roseann is survived by; son Ken Bird (Kelly), Ashland; son Andrew “Andy” Bird, Ashland; sister Eileen Buehl (Tom), Lavelle; brother Charles Hoskie, Pottsville; brother Joseph Hoskie (Mary), Mahanoy Plane; sister Patricia Nork (Frank), Shenandoah Heights; sister Kathleen Hummel, Kulpmont; many nieces & nephews.

Services and internment will be private at Roseann’s request.
