Sally A. Bednar

Sally A. Bednar, 88, of Barnesville formerly Ashland passed away Thursday afternoon September 11th at Greenwood Center for Nursing & Rehab in Hometown.

Born in Ashland on December 2, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Mildred and Michael Dougherty.

Sally was of the Catholic faith and was member of St. Charles Boromeo in Ashland and the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.   She was the housekeeper of the parish for many years prior to her retirement.

She was the wife of the late Michael Bednar.

Sally is survived by her son William “Bill” Bednar of Barnesville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday September 19, 2025 at St. Charles Boromeo, 1115 Walnut St, Ashland PA 17921.  A visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00-10:00 AM in the church prior to services.  Interment will be at St. Joseph’s New Cemetery in Ashland.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the church memorial fund.
