Sharon L. Williams, 73, of Elysburg passed away Thursday morning June 15th at Bloomsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Shamokin on May 19, 1950 she was the daughter of Jane (Lees) and the late Richard Williams.
She was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church in Shamokin. Sharon was a born again believer.
Sharon graduated from Shamokin High School in 1968. Later she graduated from Mansfield University with a degree in education.
She worked her entire career as a caseworker for Department of Public Welfare in Sunbury.
Sharon was a member of Shamokin High School Alumni Association, American Cancer Society, Rainbow Girls. She was very involved with the Relay for Life and her class reunions.
She enjoyed family and was most fond of her niece, nephew, great nieces and great nephew. She enjoyed watching sports.
Sharon is survived by; mother Jane Williams, Shamokin; brother Richard Williams (Carol), Elysburg; nephew Travis Williams (Paige), Elysburg; niece Tara Wagner (Ryan), Elysburg; great nieces and nephew Austyn, Harper, and Peyton.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday July 5th at First United Methodist Church, 100 E. Sunbury St, Shamokin PA 17872. There will be a visitation for family and friends from 9:30-11:00 AM Wednesday July 5th at the church.
