Thomas Barrett, 56 of Pine Grove. passed away Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 at his residence in Pine Grove, PA Born in Ashland September 27,1953 the son of the ate Thomas and Dorothy (Balousky) Barrett . He worked for the United States Postal Service in Harrisburg,PA as a postal dispatcher. He graduated from Cardinal Brennan High School and was a member of the Postal Workers Union, Ten Pin Pool Team and the Sons of Italy, Girardville.Tom Loved his daughters Holly Noelle, his brothers, sisters, family friends . He enjoyed fishing, camping,concerts,golf, Tony's burgers, Centiole's pizza, the Green Bay Packers, New York Mets, barbecuing, vacations and the mountains. He was a avid reader with a sharp keen mind that allowed him to complete any crossword puzzle in any newspaper. His natural ability to read and remember something was a God given talent. We always said we should sign him up as a contestant for a game show, as he would have been the big prize winner. He possessed great organizational skills, was a great person that thought outside the box. He was a man of wisdom, always there to lean on in your time of need. His heart, soul and mind was always open and was always a good listener. Tom was the rock of our family and will be missed. Our loss is Heavens gain . Surviving are two daughters Holly of Pine Grove, PA and Noelle of Annville, PA . Two sisters one brother survive: Kathy Waschek , Theresa Tomashitis and James Barrett , all of Ashland. A sister Roseanne Barrett preceded him in death June 15th, 2007. Nieces and Nephews survive . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Ashland, PA, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 3rd, with Rev. John W. Bambrick officiating. Visitation Friday 6:00-8:00 PM. from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland and Saturday 8:30-9:30 AM from the Funeral Home. Interment at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ashland, PA.
