Thomas L Wallauer

Thomas L. Wallauer, 75, of Ashland, passed away Monday afternoon at Geisinger-Danville.

Born in Ashland on May 7, 1947 he was the son of the late Mary (Lowery) and Lamar Wallauer.

He was the husband of Donna R. (Klementovich) Wallauer, the couple has been married since 1977. 

He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo, Ashland.

Tom was a graduate of Ashland High School Class of 1966.

Tom served in the US Air Force during Vietnam.

He worked most of his career for Honeywell in Minersville in the shipping and receiving department.

Tom enjoyed gardening, doing yard work and traveling in the New England states with his wife. He was also a member of American Hose No. 1-Ashland, life member Good Fellowship Club, Fountain Springs Fire Co, and a 53 year member of the American Legion Post 434-Ashland.

He is survived by; spouse Donna R. Wallauer; brother Fred (Dorothy) Wallauer, Ashland; brother Michael (Lois) Wallauer, Ashland; brother John Wallauer, Ashland; 4 nieces Jessica, Alexa, Jenna, & Jamie; 2 great nephews, 2 great nieces.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 19th from 9:30-11 AM at the funeral home.  A service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home co-celebrated with Rev. Giuseppe C. Esposito and Rev Dana Heckman-Beil. Burial with military honors will be at Citizens Cemetery-Lavelle following services.
 
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Tom’s memory to the memorial funds at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 1115 Walnut St, Ashland PA 17921 or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 35 N 9th St, Ashland PA 17921.
