Wilmer ''Willy'' Klauger

Wilmer Willy Klauger, 88, of Ashland. passed away Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 at St. Catherine Medical Center, Ft. Springs,PA. Born in Ashland, PA July 30,1922 he was the son of the late William and Mollie (Strohecker) Klauger. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II where he received the Purple Heart. He worked many years at Standard Press Steel, Jenkentown, PA until his retirement . He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (Kevel) Klauger in 2000. A grandson Bradley Birster preceded him in death and also three brothers , two sisters: Lewis, Paul, Lloyd, Minerva and Lorraine . Surviving are a daughter Susan wife of Thomas Birster, Ashland, PA; Grandson Thomas Birster, Sunbury,PA survives . One brother survives: Harold Klauger of Weikert, PA Nieces and nephews survive.
